Bst DNA Polymerase V2 is an engineered DNA polymerase derived from Bacillus stearothermophilus DNA Polymerase I. The enzyme possesses strong strand-displacement activity and 5'→3' DNA polymerase activity, while lacking 5'→3' exonuclease activity. These properties make it highly suitable for isothermal amplification technologies such as Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification (LAMP) and other rapid nucleic acid detection workflows.


Hzymes Bst DNA Polymerase V2 delivers fast amplification speed, high tolerance to inhibitory salts, compatibility with dUTP/UDG contamination-control systems, and excellent long-term stability. WarmStart versions are also available for improved reaction specificity and reduced non-specific amplification during assay setup.

No. Bst DNA Polymerase V2 has strong strand displacement DNA polymerase activity but does not have reverse transcriptase activity.
