Product Description
T4 RNA Ligase 1 is an ATP-dependent enzyme that can catalyse the formation of a phosphor-diester bond between the 5'-P terminus and the 3'-OH terminus of single-stranded RNA, single-stranded DNA or mononucleotides, either intermolecularly or intramolecularly. It can be used for intermolecular joining of ssRNA, intermolecular joining of ssRNA to ssDNA, labelling of ssRNA 3'-OH ends with the radioisotope 5'-[32P]pCp, synthesis of single-stranded Oligo RNAs and Oligo DNAs, special modification of tRNAs, and introduction of non-natural amino acids into proteins.T4 RNA ligase 1 was derived from E.coli expression and the expressed gene was T4 phage.
