Product Overview


Creatinine enzyme (EC 3.5.2.10) is a homohexamer with a metal-ion-containing active site, specifically catalyzing the hydrolysis of creatinine to form creatine. It is produced via microbial recombinant expression followed by multi-step chromatographic purification, offering high substrate specificity and controllable residual contaminant levels.

With ultra-large-scale, stable supply capabilities, it helps overcome bottlenecks in raw material procurement. This product is specially designed for global renal-disease in-vitro diagnostic creatinine enzymatic assay systems, exhibiting broad pH tolerance from 5.5 to 10.0 and excellent thermal stability at 65℃.

Its dry-powder specific activity is ≥400 U/mg, and protein purity is 90%. Compared with naturally extracted enzymes, it demonstrates superior batch-to-batch consistency and lower background interference, making it well suited for two-step, anti-interference creatinine assays.

It is applicable to enzymatic quantitative determination of creatinine in serum and urine, automated biochemical reagent formulation, and the development of dry-chemistry solid-phase diagnostic substrates, delivering performance comparable to leading international brands.

Reaction Principle

One unit of enzyme activity is defined as the amount of enzyme required to catalyze the formation of 1 μmol of creatine per minute under conditions of pH 6.5 and 37℃.
