Product Overview

HHRevScript reverse transcriptase is an RNA-directed DNA polymerase. This enzyme can synthesize a complementary DNA strand initiating from a primer using either RNA (cDNA synthesis) or single-stranded DNA as a template. HHRevScript reverse transcriptase lacks 3´ → 5´ exonuclease activity and RNase H activity. The enzyme can withstand the reaction temperature of 50 ℃, and can be used for reverse transcription of RNA template with secondary structure to enhance the affinity with the template.

Performance Data
