Product Overview

FS Hot Start Taq DNA Polymerase (Antibody Modified) is a hot-start Taq DNA polymerase designed for rapid and high-specificity PCR amplification. The enzyme activity is blocked at room temperature through antibody-mediated inhibition and is activated upon heating at 95°C.

This hot-start mechanism helps reduce non-specific amplification and improves overall PCR performance. The enzyme is suitable for a wide range of PCR applications, including routine PCR, qPCR, and fast PCR workflows, and is compatible with both standard and optimized reaction systems.

Key Features

High sensitivity and amplification efficiency

When human genomic DNA (gDNA) is used as the template, the detection sensitivity can reach down to 1 copy/µL. The amplification efficiency is greater than 99%, with strong linearity across a broad quantification range, supporting reliable quantitative analysis.

Rapid amplification capability

Supports fast PCR protocols with an extension rate of up to 7 seconds per 2 kb, helping reduce overall cycling time and improve workflow efficiency.

High tolerance to inhibitors

Demonstrates good tolerance to common PCR inhibitors such as blood components, sputum, and residual reagents (e.g., alcohol), making it suitable for direct amplification from partially purified or crude samples.

Applications

• Routine PCR assays

• TaqMan-based qPCR

• Multiplex PCR

• Extraction-free PCR workflows

• Amplification of low-input or low-quality genomic DNA and plasmid DNA

• Broad-range PCR of bacterial 16S rRNA genes
