Product Overview


Cre mRNA encodes Cre recombinase, a 38 kDa site-specific DNA recombinase derived from bacteriophage P1. Cre recombinase specifically recognizes loxP sites and catalyzes recombination between two loxP sequences, enabling targeted DNA excision, inversion, or translocation.


The Cre-loxP system is one of the most widely used genome engineering technologies and is extensively applied in conditional gene expression regulation, gene knockout studies, gene function analysis, and the generation of genetically modified animal models.


This product is an mRNA synthesized through in vitro co-transcriptional capping and purified by precipitation and desalting processes. The mRNA has a theoretical length of 1343 nt and supports efficient protein expression in mammalian cells, making it suitable for cell-based assays and in vivo research applications.


The encoded Cre recombinase contains nuclear localization signals (NLS), enabling efficient nuclear transport after translation and facilitating Cre-mediated recombination at target loxP sites.
