Product Overview


mCherry mRNA encodes mCherry red fluorescent protein, a widely used fluorescent reporter derived from mRFP, an optimized variant of coral-derived DsRed. Compared with the original DsRed and mRFP, mCherry features faster maturation kinetics, enhanced photostability, and improved fluorescence performance, making it an ideal reporter for molecular biology and cell-based research.


The encoded mCherry protein exhibits a maximum excitation wavelength of approximately 587 nm and a maximum emission wavelength of approximately 610 nm, generating a bright red fluorescence signal detectable by fluorescence microscopy. Its distinct spectral properties enable efficient combination with green fluorescent proteins (GFP) and yellow fluorescent proteins (YFP) for multicolor imaging and labeling applications.


This product is an unmodified mCherry mRNA synthesized through in vitro co-transcriptional capping (IVT) and purified by precipitation and desalting processes. With a theoretical length of 997 nt, it provides efficient protein expression in mammalian eukaryotic cells and is suitable as a fluorescent reporter mRNA for evaluating transfection efficiency, gene expression, and delivery systems.
