Product Overview


EGFP saRNA (Self-amplifying RNA encoding enhanced green fluorescent protein) is designed to achieve robust and sustained EGFP expression in mammalian cells through an RNA self-amplification mechanism. After transfection, the saRNA replicase system generates RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RDRP)-mediated amplification, significantly enhancing intracellular RNA levels and protein expression compared with conventional mRNA.


EGFP is an enhanced variant of green fluorescent protein (GFP), optimized for strong fluorescence intensity and reliable detection. It has an excitation wavelength of approximately 488 nm and an emission wavelength of approximately 507 nm, producing a bright green fluorescence signal that can be directly monitored by fluorescence microscopy without cell disruption or additional substrates.


Unlike conventional mRNA, EGFP saRNA contains viral-derived replicase elements that enable self-replication through RNA-dependent RNA polymerase activity. The subgenomic promoter (SGP) selectively drives transcription of the gene of interest (GOI), allowing efficient production and translation of EGFP mRNA while bypassing replicase coding regions. This self-amplifying mechanism enables effective protein expression with a substantially reduced RNA dosage requirement compared with standard mRNA platforms.


This EGFP saRNA product is synthesized by in vitro co-transcriptional capping without modified nucleotides and purified through precipitation and desalting processes. With a theoretical length of 8,443 nt, it demonstrates stable translation performance in mammalian eukaryotic cells and is suitable as a fluorescent reporter tool for RNA delivery, gene expression analysis, and cell-based research applications.
