PCR technology is widely used in molecular experiments due to its high sensitivity. However, during the operation process, nucleic acid aerosol pollution is easily formed, and even a trace amount of pollution can lead to false positive detection results, which has been a headache for scientific researchers.

UDG enzyme can effectively promote the hydrolysis reaction of the N-glycosidic bond between the uracil base and the sugar-phosphate backbone in single-stranded or double-stranded DNA. When UDG enzyme is used together with dUTP, UDG enzyme can specifically recognize and degrade PCR products containing dU without affecting the template DNA. Therefore, it can efficiently remove the aerosol pollution of amplification products and ensure the accuracy of PCR amplification results.

Currently, there are two main types of commercially available UDG enzymes: one is the ordinary UDG enzyme derived from Escherichia coli and Bacillus subtilis, and the other is the heat-sensitive UDG enzyme derived from psychrophilic marine bacteria. The heat-sensitive UDG enzyme can be completely inactivated at a relatively low temperature for a short time.

The new product launched by Hzymes – heat-sensitive UDG enzyme, can be completely inactivated above 50°C, effectively avoiding the degradation effect of the possibly remaining activity of the ordinary UDG enzyme after inactivation on the amplification products containing dU.

New Product Launch

Heat-sensitive UDG Enzyme

Product Introduction

This product is sensitive to high temperature and can be completely inactivated above 50°C. The anti-pollution system established by this product in combination with dUTP can be applied to PCR, qPCR, RT-PCR, RT-qPCR, RT-LAMP, etc. At the same time, a glycerol-free version of the heat-sensitive UDG enzyme is provided, which can be used in combination with the freeze drying system.

Product Advantages

Test Data

Digestion of U products: Under the template containing U, the digestion ability of Hzymes UDG enzyme is better than that of competitor A and B.

Heat inactivation test: Hzymes UDG enzyme is sensitive to temperature and irreversibly inactivated after treatment at 50°C. The heat inactivation performance is better than that of competitor A.

Stable system performance: Hzymes UDG enzyme has no effect on the amplification performance in both dual and multiplex systems.

Thermal stability: Hzymes UDG enzyme is stable in the detection system after accelerated storage at 37°C for 10 days.
