Product Overview

T7 RNA Polymerase is a DNA-dependent RNA polymerase derived from T7 bacteriophage, with strong and specific 5'→3' RNA polymerase activity. It exclusively recognizes T7 promoter sequences and efficiently synthesizes large amounts of RNA from downstream DNA fragments, serving as the core enzyme for mRNA in vitro transcription (IVT).

This product is manufactured and quality-controlled in full compliance with GMP standards, ensuring complete traceability of the entire production process and all raw and auxiliary materials. No ampicillin or any animal-derived raw materials are used throughout production, minimizing the risk of exogenous factor contamination from the source.

The product strictly controls residues of endonuclease, exonuclease, nickase, RNase and endotoxins, guaranteeing high purity, high activity and batch-to-batch consistency. It is suitable for GMP large-scale production and preclinical R&D of mRNA vaccines and gene therapy drugs.

Key Features

High-specific-activity engineered variant

The M6 variant incorporates activity-enhancing amino acid substitutions, delivering approximately 3.8-fold higher protein specific activity (U/mg) compared with wild-type T7 RNA Polymerase.

Enhanced transcription yield

Improved catalytic efficiency enables higher mRNA output, helping increase productivity and reduce manufacturing costs.

Superior RNA integrity with reduced dsRNA formation

Generates transcripts with improved integrity and lower dsRNA content than wild-type T7 RNA Polymerase, supporting the development of high-quality mRNA products.

Improved oxidative stability

Site-specific cysteine substitutions significantly enhance oxidation resistance, preventing enzyme aggregation in the absence of reducing agents and providing over 10-fold higher enzyme solution activity (U/mL) compared with the wild-type enzyme.

Robust performance across diverse templates

Maintains excellent transcription performance with templates of varying lengths, including challenging sequences that are typically associated with low yield or poor RNA quality.

Applications

GMP manufacturing and preclinical development

Suitable for both GMP-scale production and preclinical research of mRNA vaccines, gene therapies, and other RNA-based therapeutics.

Large-scale mRNA production

Delivers high yield and superior RNA integrity, making it an ideal choice for platform-based and commercial-scale manufacturing of diverse mRNA modalities.

Self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) transcription

Demonstrates exceptional performance in the synthesis of self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) and other long RNA templates.

Challenging template transcription

Enables efficient transcription of difficult-to-express sequences that traditionally exhibit low yield or generate transcripts with compromised integrity.

FAQ

What applications is this T7 RNA Polymerase suitable for?

This product is suitable for both GMP-scale manufacturing and preclinical development of mRNA vaccines, gene therapies, and other RNA-based therapeutics requiring high-quality in vitro transcription (IVT).

Is this product manufactured under GMP conditions?

Yes. The enzyme is produced and quality-controlled in full compliance with GMP standards, with complete traceability of the entire manufacturing process as well as all raw and auxiliary materials.

Are animal-derived components or β-lactam antibiotics used during production?

No. The manufacturing process is completely animal-origin free and does not involve the use of ampicillin or other β-lactam antibiotics, minimizing the risk of exogenous contamination.

How is product quality and consistency ensured?

The product undergoes stringent quality control for residual endonuclease, exonuclease, nickase, RNase, and endotoxin levels, ensuring high purity, high activity, and excellent batch-to-batch consistency.

How should the product be stored and transported?

The product should be transported under temperatures below 0°C and stored at -25°C to -15°C to maintain optimal performance.
